Trust Vibes… Energy Doesn’t Lie

“Trust the vibes you get. Energy doesn’t lie”

Have you ever met someone and for some reason you feel a negative vibe right away? You can’t explain it but something is off? Well, this feeling is there for a reason. I’m not saying every time you feel this, something is wrong with that person, but rather your energies are not aligning… and that’s ok. There are people in this life that are meant for you and others that aren’t… and that’s ok.

Sometimes there’s literally no explanation and you can’t make sense of these bad vibes but you don’t need to have one. Do what makes you happy! I always try to meet new people with open an open mind and never judge people by their appearance. However, if for whatever reason, I’m feeling an undoubtedly negative feeling and I feel judged by this person … I’m out. You intuition is usually right. I’ve always given myself permission to immediately walk away from anything that gives me bad vibes. In the beginning when I first started to notice this, I’d try to make sense of it & give the benefit of the doubt & have these people in my life. Yet, I always proved myself that there was a reason as to why I was feeling the way I was. I know now that there is no need to have an explanation or make sense of it. I trust the inner voice when it talks to me.

Let your intuition speak to you. Listen to it. Many times I have found myself removing myself from situations that are causing me so much distress that I could have avoided if I initially would have listened to my intuition. Forcing yourself to continue to carry relationships, friendships, and even family ties, when you are not feeling positive vibes doesn’t have to be an option. It’s not what your body and soul needs.

One thing I can always do that helps me remove the noise and get some clarity is hiking!  Solstice Canyon in Malibu is always so beautiful. Enjoy these pictures I took while on my sunset hike. You can’t believe how much more happy I am  now that there is daylight later in the day! YAY!

“Never discredit your gut instinct. You are not paranoid. Your body can pick up bad vibrations. If something deep inside of you says something is not right about a person or situation, trust it.”

Orange County, Los Angeles Art District & Venice Beach

Angelinos, como están? How are you? What is good?! How was your weekend? My weekend was eventful!

On Saturday, I straighten my hair Vietnamese style. It’s basically a straight perm… I guess. Not sure, all I know, my Vietnamese friend has straight hair, I asked her once what she does to it couple years ago, and since has taken me to different cities to get this hair straightening. I love it. I especially love how she takes me to different cities through California that I have never knew are created to cater specifically to her culture. As a Latina, I know when I crave my peeps food and atmosphere where to go and in what cities I can find Pupusas & Yuca (if your Salvy, you know what I’m talking about). Therefore, being able to experience other communities unlike your own, it’s very refreshing. This year, she took me to Westminster in Orange County. I saw a monk practicing his faith on the street, markets full of foods I’ve never seen, all different types of dessert I’ve never tasted and I’ve tasted a lot of desserts. Overall, I loved going with her this past Saturday to the OC.  I love exploring, truly allow you to experience California and the beauty of its diversity. Not to mention, my hair stays straight for months and I don’t have to burn my hair every day with a flat iron. In the evening, I finished it off with a date night. We watched John Wick: Chapter 2. It’s such a thrilling movie from the start. I don’t want to give away too many details. Just know, like the first movie, he used a pen to kill someone!

On Sunday, we explored Los Angeles… one of my many favorite things to do.

We went to Urth Cafe near the Art District in Los Angeles. I’m addicted to Urth Cafe’s ‘Natural Corn Hash’… it’s epic! Just check out the picture below… I mean, it’s mouthwatering. Then we strolled around the nearby streets and looked at art. It’s amazing to see the talent, visions and work people create.

After, we felt like drinks by the ocean and headed to Venice Beach. If you’ve never been it’s a residential, commercial and recreational beachfront neighborhood. It’s a well-known tourist area with stores, restaurants, bars, street performer and art galleries lining the street. It’s also home to “Muscle Beach”, people who work on their physique, for the creative and the artistic. As for me and why I love Venice, I love palmtrees and it gives me my needed dosage 🌴🌴☀️.

Another successful weekend completed and back to the grind today, Monday. While it’s tough sometimes to return to work, we should do it with gratitude. I feel completely blessed to wake up another day and able to breathe. So many people are taking their last breathe today. We will never know when we will take our last breath, therefore, adventure, hike & explore even on weekdays. I can’t venture as much as my weekends but definitely still experience no-mind and total presence in all His glory.

“Presence is needed to become aware of the beauty, the majesty, the sacredness of nature.” Happy Monday corazones! Become aware of all the beauty around you and truly see, no matter what day it is. XO

LA Living 🌴

What is good, mis amores?!

As for me, I’m doing well! I feel blessed to wake up and take another breath. I love my beautiful Los Angeles! Therefore, I was excited to get invited yesterday to watch the Super Bowl from a loft in LA. The view was ridiculous! It was such a beautiful, amazing, & quite ridiculously priced view.

The city of Los Angeles is magical, so while I understand the prices of these amazing downtown LA apartment prices… still way over priced.

Can you spot “Jesus Saves” in the picture below? Lol

Love it! He does! 🙌🙏

While this monthly cost of 6K for this view is a little much for me 😩…  it’s ok, I’ll just take in the perks of knowing people who get to live in the midst of such beautiful views. Lol

Not to mention, I love L.A but the price and the traffic? I think I’ll stick to The Valley for now. Yet, who wouldn’t mind that view? 😍

Anyhoo, stay blessed angelinos! May you see the beauty in everything and feel lucky to be apart of such a beautiful city.

 With Luv,

Nancy 💋

2016 Coming to an End

2016 was certainly a year of ups and downs. It had obstacles, heartbreaks, extremely hard moments, but beautiful moments too! As I sat down to write my plans for the last week of 2016, I reflected in everything this year brought that has made me stronger! I developed creatively, felt heartbreak but found love too, traveled, graduated, faith became stronger and really matured in how I view life in general. Many things in our life will come unexpectedly but it’s up to us how we will react to them. We can sit and reflect in all the negative or we could look back and see the lessons that each event we went through has provided.

I’m not saying we shouldn’t be excited for 2017 and all the “new new” but also reflect how even though 2016 came with many “wtf” moments (Trump winning the election for example) we also had beautiful moments too! Don’t stay up until midnight to see the old year leave but rather to see the new year come in! May you have the courage to have new hopes, aspirations, and resolutions for this New Year! Don’t be afraid to make goals. “Setting goals gives your dreams a plan” & like my boyy Walt Disney would say, “All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them”!

Have a Happy New Year corazones! This firework show is amazing & when I saw the capture I had got?!?! Heart eyes emoji! Anyhoo, God willing, I’ll be toasting in the New Year from my favorite bar in Napa Rose inside the Grand Californian with drinks from my favorite bartender, Joe! Cheers! Have fun, be safe and let’s be ready to welcome 2017! 2017 will be amazing! Know it, feel it, and embrace it!

Disneyland’s Californian Grand Hotel

I grew up loving Disney movies, therefore, it’s no surprise I love Disneyland! I’ve been a annual passholder since June 2014! I literally feel it’s my second home. I even dress up & get all glam for my Mickey dates! lol

The only thing I messed up on was not taking enough pictures. I didn’t take pictures of the Grand Hotel but no worries, I Vlogged it!  lol

I recently ventured to doing vlogs/ makeup tutorials on YouTube, therefore, my whole get ready with me Disneyland addition + vlog will be on my channel ‘Godknows_Y’ soon. I can’t wait to share! While, I love to write because I find it very therapeutic, I also love to do my makeup, edit, & share my adventures with all of you!

The only thing I mostly took pictures of was the food! No surprise for my fatass loves food! lol I’ve always wanted to stay in the Grand Hotel and 85% to wake up to room service & have a cute Micky waffle! The other 15% was to be able to stay up late & next day be ready to roll out of bed & venture to magical hours in California Adventure Park.

Every trip to my second home is magical but this pass weekend was the most magical of all! I had dreamt to stay in the Grand hotel & it didn’t disappoint! I’ll definitely be staying there again!

With Love,

I’m Back!

I’m back, yay! I’ve missed it.

I had started blogging awhile ago and stopped. I was very busy but lazy too… if that makes sense. However, I feel a need to start writing again. It’s so therapeutic for me and kind of a passion. I’m not a good writer at all but I enjoy to write. I may not always express myself grammatically correct but this is more for me. I started this blog more like a virtual diary for myself. I’d like to share my love for picture taking and just have an outlet to share many other passions.

For those that followed my old blog, welcome back! I missed you! I hope you’ve missed me too!

So much has happened since the last time I blogged. I graduated California State University Northridge and I have so much more time on my hands. Yet, because of having all this free time I have also been struggling with a roller coaster of emotions. It’s true what they say that once a college student graduates they kinda go into depression. I felt lost at one point. Like what happens now? What do I do know? I’m doing better now but it hasnt’t been easy.  However, here I am, sharing my life with you. I’m a solid believer that God knows why everything happens and the fact that I’m here now … it has it’s purpose.

With love,
