Trust Vibes… Energy Doesn’t Lie

“Trust the vibes you get. Energy doesn’t lie”

Have you ever met someone and for some reason you feel a negative vibe right away? You can’t explain it but something is off? Well, this feeling is there for a reason. I’m not saying every time you feel this, something is wrong with that person, but rather your energies are not aligning… and that’s ok. There are people in this life that are meant for you and others that aren’t… and that’s ok.

Sometimes there’s literally no explanation and you can’t make sense of these bad vibes but you don’t need to have one. Do what makes you happy! I always try to meet new people with open an open mind and never judge people by their appearance. However, if for whatever reason, I’m feeling an undoubtedly negative feeling and I feel judged by this person … I’m out. You intuition is usually right. I’ve always given myself permission to immediately walk away from anything that gives me bad vibes. In the beginning when I first started to notice this, I’d try to make sense of it & give the benefit of the doubt & have these people in my life. Yet, I always proved myself that there was a reason as to why I was feeling the way I was. I know now that there is no need to have an explanation or make sense of it. I trust the inner voice when it talks to me.

Let your intuition speak to you. Listen to it. Many times I have found myself removing myself from situations that are causing me so much distress that I could have avoided if I initially would have listened to my intuition. Forcing yourself to continue to carry relationships, friendships, and even family ties, when you are not feeling positive vibes doesn’t have to be an option. It’s not what your body and soul needs.

One thing I can always do that helps me remove the noise and get some clarity is hiking!  Solstice Canyon in Malibu is always so beautiful. Enjoy these pictures I took while on my sunset hike. You can’t believe how much more happy I am  now that there is daylight later in the day! YAY!

“Never discredit your gut instinct. You are not paranoid. Your body can pick up bad vibrations. If something deep inside of you says something is not right about a person or situation, trust it.”

Orange County, Los Angeles Art District & Venice Beach

Angelinos, como están? How are you? What is good?! How was your weekend? My weekend was eventful!

On Saturday, I straighten my hair Vietnamese style. It’s basically a straight perm… I guess. Not sure, all I know, my Vietnamese friend has straight hair, I asked her once what she does to it couple years ago, and since has taken me to different cities to get this hair straightening. I love it. I especially love how she takes me to different cities through California that I have never knew are created to cater specifically to her culture. As a Latina, I know when I crave my peeps food and atmosphere where to go and in what cities I can find Pupusas & Yuca (if your Salvy, you know what I’m talking about). Therefore, being able to experience other communities unlike your own, it’s very refreshing. This year, she took me to Westminster in Orange County. I saw a monk practicing his faith on the street, markets full of foods I’ve never seen, all different types of dessert I’ve never tasted and I’ve tasted a lot of desserts. Overall, I loved going with her this past Saturday to the OC.  I love exploring, truly allow you to experience California and the beauty of its diversity. Not to mention, my hair stays straight for months and I don’t have to burn my hair every day with a flat iron. In the evening, I finished it off with a date night. We watched John Wick: Chapter 2. It’s such a thrilling movie from the start. I don’t want to give away too many details. Just know, like the first movie, he used a pen to kill someone!

On Sunday, we explored Los Angeles… one of my many favorite things to do.

We went to Urth Cafe near the Art District in Los Angeles. I’m addicted to Urth Cafe’s ‘Natural Corn Hash’… it’s epic! Just check out the picture below… I mean, it’s mouthwatering. Then we strolled around the nearby streets and looked at art. It’s amazing to see the talent, visions and work people create.

After, we felt like drinks by the ocean and headed to Venice Beach. If you’ve never been it’s a residential, commercial and recreational beachfront neighborhood. It’s a well-known tourist area with stores, restaurants, bars, street performer and art galleries lining the street. It’s also home to “Muscle Beach”, people who work on their physique, for the creative and the artistic. As for me and why I love Venice, I love palmtrees and it gives me my needed dosage 🌴🌴☀️.

Another successful weekend completed and back to the grind today, Monday. While it’s tough sometimes to return to work, we should do it with gratitude. I feel completely blessed to wake up another day and able to breathe. So many people are taking their last breathe today. We will never know when we will take our last breath, therefore, adventure, hike & explore even on weekdays. I can’t venture as much as my weekends but definitely still experience no-mind and total presence in all His glory.

“Presence is needed to become aware of the beauty, the majesty, the sacredness of nature.” Happy Monday corazones! Become aware of all the beauty around you and truly see, no matter what day it is. XO

With Love,
